Vulcan set to fly this season - Posted Tuesday 19 June 2007
The Vulcan to the Sky Trust is determined that XH558 will fly at at least one event this season. Engineers at Bruntingthorpe have been working around the clock for the last 3 months to get her to the stage she is at now. She is now standing on her own landing gear again, electrical systems and engines fitted.

However they are still waiting for a few flight critical components before flight testing can begin. Once these parts arrive they will be fitted and a chain of final tasks can be completed ready for the first flight as soon as three weeks later.

To find out more about the Vulcan restoration head over to the Vulcan to the Sky Trust website. Be sure to have a look at the hangar cams and the latest news on the progress.

Vulcan Falklands Flypast Doubtful - Posted Friday 25 May 2007
It was hoped that XH558 would be ready for the Falklands commemorative events, due to a delay with some crucial parts that are been overhauled. So unfortunately it looks like XH558 will be able to take part in the 17th June. However this week the landing gear is going to be re-installed and the aircraft will be returned to her wheels.

Duxford Salutes Fallen Troops - Posted Monday 21 May 2007
The Imperial War Museum at Duxford kicked off its airshow season yesterday (Sunday, 20th May). The airshow dedicated to veterans of the Falklands War. This tribute was to mark 25th anniversary of the war. With a range of aircraft present from the Canberra, to the Battle Of Britain memorial Flight Lancaster.

The weather was nice to the crowds, many people putting on there sun cream while looking up and the fantastic displays, which featured the Blue Eagles, Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight, and Team Guinot Wingwalking Display Team. Crowds also checked out the many hangars at Duxford, they would of seen the progress on the Blenheim Restoration and the many other restoration projects at Duxford.

Veterans from the Falklands were present, and the show closed with a air/ground salute with a one minute silence.

We have photo's of the display, which will be added soon.
