My family and I go to the Dayton Air Show every year.

It's a very large show and fun, but it is a little too "exciting" for me. I don't know if that's the right word, but I really prefer the smaller, more intimate shows. This one is very spectacular, though, and I think it appeals to the kids more than some of the things I drag them too.

Do you ever worry that a plane will crash? It seems like planes crashing during air shows happen quite often. Do they, or is it just the hype?

Okay, thanks. I have never worried about that before, but now I sure will ;) It's one of those things that always seems to happen somewhere else.

Sorry! I hope I didn't ruin it for you! Still, it seems like this kind of news pops up every so often.

I was at a seafront airshow a few years back and a Harrier had a power failure and crashing into the sea. The pilot ejected in time but landed on the aircraft which caused him to have a broken ankle.
